This temporary Australian work visa addresses skill shortages by allowing Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers. Valid for up to 4 years, it also offers a potential pathway to permanent residency after 2 years. Applicants can apply for this visa under three different stream – short term stream, medium term stream and Labour Agreement stream.
This permanent visa permits Australian employers to sponsor overseas workers to mitigate skill shortages. Through the 186 TRT stream, holders of the TSS – Subclass 482 visa can transition to permanent residency by fulfilling criteria such as two years of employment with the same sponsor, two years in the same occupation, competent English, and other requirements.
Alternatively, applicants can apply directly under the Direct Entry stream, meeting criteria like mandatory skill assessment, three years of full-time experience in the nominated occupation, competent English, and additional requisites.
Designed for Australian regional employers, this employer-sponsored visa addresses skill shortages by allowing businesses to sponsor overseas workers. It is a 5-year provisional visa leading to permanent residency through the subclass 191 visa. Similar to the SC 186 DE stream, this visa also requires mandatory positive skill assessment, three years of full-time experience in the nominated occupation, competent English, and other criteria.
