This visa allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia. To be eligible for this visa, applicants must prove that their relationship with their Australian partner is real and ongoing, regardless of whether they are in a same-sex or opposite-sex relationship.

There are two types of partner visas in Australia: the temporary partner visa (subclass 820/309) and the permanent partner visa (subclass 801/100). The temporary visa lets individuals live and work in Australia while waiting for their permanent visa application to be processed. Once granted, the permanent visa allows them to stay in Australia indefinitely.

This visa allows the prospective spouse of an Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to come to Australia to marry their prospective spouse and then apply for the partner visa.

This visa allows the parents of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to come to Australia temporarily or permanently. To be eligible for a parent visa, applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Have a child who is an Australian permanent resident, Australian citizen, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • Applicants Child must have been lawfully residing in Australia for the past 2 years before your visa application was lodged.
  • Have a sponsor, typically the child.
  • Meet the criteria for the Balance of Family test.
  • Meet other requirement such as health and character.

Parents stream include different pathway, such as parents visa (subclass 103), contributory parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 173), contributory parent (Migrant) visa (subclass 143), sponsored parent (subclass 870), contributory aged parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 884), contributory aged parent (Residence) visa (subclass 864), and aged parent (Residence) visa (subclass 804).
